The Enyaq Coupé is fitted with a combined charging system socket. A battery can be charged from sources with alternating current (AC) up to a charging output of 11 kW (when charging from the Škoda iV Charger wallbox), or from sources with direct current (DC) up to a charging output of 175 kW (at public fast charging stations). The infrastructure for the operation of electrified vehicles is growing day by day. Škoda is also involved in the construction of the IONITY network across Europe. An alternative to standard charging from a power source is brake energy regeneration. This is a process where the vehicle’s kinetic energy is converted into electricity, which is then stored in the high voltage battery.

The battery cells are incorporated into the floor. This lowers the car’s centre of gravity, which is important when driving round bends and for preserving the maximum amount of space for passengers. Battery capacity is 82 kWh. This is the basis for the names of the different versions of the vehicle (85 and 85x) and determine its power and range. In order to minimise the demands placed on the batteries, we have prepared a heat pump for the Enyaq Coupé to provide heat and cooling.

Rear-wheel drive has made its return to a Škoda, with all the attendant advantages. When you are at the wheel, the first thing you will notice is the improved traction when starting off. Other benefits are the smaller kerb-to-kerb radius and driving with a greater sense of tranquillity.

The electric motor mounted on the rear axle can be supplemented by another electric motor on the front axle. This turns the Enyaq Coupé into an all-wheel drive.

Because the operation of the Enyaq Coupé does not generate any emissions, many countries, local authorities and organisations are only too pleased to support or contribute to the purchase of such a car. It is also a vehicle that is allowed to enter places that are off-limits to cars with an internal combustion engine. Likewise, some countries offer discounts on road tax, or waive it altogether. There are some towns and cities where you can come across parking concessions in residential zones.
